3rd Edition of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF)

 

The 2023 edition of the Intra-African Trade Fair will be taking place in Cairo, Egypt from 9-15 November 2023.

Organized by the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), in collaboration with the African Union Commission (AUC) and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat, the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF) is intended to provide a unique platform for facilitating trade and investment information exchange in support of increased intra-African trade and investment, especially in the context of implementing the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA).

The Swiss-African Business Circle, with the support of the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs SECO and its partners Novartis, SERV Swiss Export Risk Insurance, Kuehne+Nagel, The Embassy of Switzerland in Egypt and SwissCham Egypt, will be organizing a Swiss presence during this 3rd Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF).

The Swiss presence will include:

✅Side events dedicated to key sectors/themes, including healthcare and  infrastructure
✅ A joint Swiss stand in the exhibition area
✅ A networking event organized by SwissCham Egypt

The State Secretariat for Economic Affairs SECO will participate in the IATF with a high-level delegation led by the SECO State Secretary, Hélène Budliger Artieda.

What is the IATF?
The Intra-African Trade Fair is a pan-African trade and investment event that provides a unique platform for businesses and investors to connect, network, and explore new opportunities across Africa. The IATF is expected to attract over 1,600 exhibitors, 35,000 visitors, and more than US$43 billion in trade and investment deals.
